Getting involved is easy. Take the pledge, extend the invitation and assist someone in taking the steps necessary to feel comfortable participating in traditional outdoor sports.

You can make a difference in their life by sharing your knowledge of outdoor activities with them.

If you know someone who is interested in learning about the outdoors, ask him/her to STEP OUTSIDE with you. Help your newcomer have a positive experience with either target shooting, archery, hunting or fishing. He/she will better appreciate the sport and will learn that true outdoorsmen and outdoorswomen respect fish and wildlife. He/she will be more likely to support outdoor activities and conservation efforts.

Make the Pledge part of your outdoor ethic that you live by. If every outdoorsman and outdoorswoman introduced at least one newcomer to target shooting, archery, hunting or fishing on an annual basis, a higher percentage of the American public would understand that these are wholesome family activities. And the public would understand the commitment that outdoor enthusiasts make to conserve our natural resources and that outdoor activities help bond families and help families teach their children respect and responsibility.

Once you have introduced someone to one of the traditional outdoor sports, register on the site and become part of the STEP OUTSIDE Champions Club.
